A regular CrossFit Bury WOD takes an hour and includes a warm up, a strength and skills sections, a WOD (Workout Of the Day) and a cool down.

At CrossFit Bury there is no fancy machinery and no mirrors for the vain, it is just a box! But don't be fooled, this unassuming space has got a whole lot going on inside!

Wear anything that you're comfortable to workout in - we'd recommend shorts and a t-shirt, as well as sturdy trainers.  Companies like Reebok design apparel made especially for CrossFit, but you don't need anything specific to do a class.

At CrossFit Bury we ask that athletes give us a month's notice to cancel their membership.

We believe that three months commitment is the minimum for athletes to reach some of their personal goals in CrossFit.

We recommend everyone has at least one rest day in the week. The nature of CrossFit means there is lots of variation in the workouts, so your body should have no problems keeping up. We will find out together how much your body can handle. At CrossFit Bury we focus heavily on performance goals and not whats in the mirror or on the scales. The harder you work to reach your goals the fitter you will become, therefore the better you will look and feel in mind and body.

CrossFit training is well recognised for its ability to shred fat through its short, intense workouts. You will gain strength first, then once you become more adapted to the CrossFit training and follow the CrossFit nutritional guidelines, unwanted fat will drop off.

You hear some women say; CrossFit girls look too bulky. But remember when you are weight training, it pumps blood to the muscles and makes you look bigger. When CrossFit girl aren't training, it’s a different look - fit and fabulously toned bodies! So don't worry you will still remain feminine, with the added bonus of being strong, toned and more independent.
